Like usual, we cannot have an evening without an adventure. This time, the adventure included hours without electricity. We couldn't find the glass hurricane for our lamp. But I have the bag of "Christmas" candles (off white tapers for pennies the day after Christmas!) and put them in every bottle and candle holder we could find. We also had some touch lights that the girls played with. I have had the flu and was so sick, I was trying not to cry. Everyone went to bed early! Today I feel better.
I could really go for some routine right now... even some monotony!

We tried to call you last night, a couple of times, because we have your Walmart oil lamp that looks just like ours. And I'm so, so sorry you've been sick along with all the rest of it. That's really sad. If you get really puny tomorrow morning, send some kids over til lunchtime.
We couldn't answer the phone because they are all cordless (poor thinking on my part) we can't use a phone when we need it!
I must admit that even I think we've had enough. We need a sabbath. More like a year of jubilee.
I talked to God about it yesterday. Then I got sick.
Yeah... ask God for a break... and my home burns down... A year of jubilee would be great! A year of anything other than disaster would be great!
No, you guys just need to accept your life verse, where Jesus says to Paul, "I will show you how much you must suffer for my name."
